Dr. Moores was born in California but grew up in eastern Canada, where his father was a country doctor who made house calls. When Dr. Moores was 11 years old, he moved to the Far East where he lived in Hong Kong and Singapore for six years. After six years he eventually returned to California, where he attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomathematics. After graduating from Pacific Union College, he moved to Loma Linda, CA where he attended Loma Linda University School of Health and received a Master’s Degree in Bio-statistics. Then he attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
After graduation, Dr. Moores was an associate dentist with the Riverside Dental Group, but he really wanted the challenge of running his own practice, so in 1986 he moved to Paradise and opened his own office.
For Dr. Moores, the best reward that he can receive is the look on his patients’ faces when they look in the mirror for the first time after their treatment is complete and can see their new smile. Such a change can have a major impact on their lives.
Since opening his office, Dr. Moores has stayed current with many new advances in dentistry. He has taken hundreds of hours of Continuing Education including advanced training at the world-famous Las Vegas Institute for advanced dental studies and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Northern California Dental Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Moores enjoys playing the piano and keyboard as well as cycling.
