Pass On The Mints
This tip may not seem to make sense on the surface. We all know that when you get a foul taste in your mouth, it’s easy to grab a mint, cover it up, and go on about your day. The bad thing is that most mints are full of sugar.
After the mint has dissolved in your mouth, all that lingers is a sugary residue that actually feeds the bacteria causing your breath problems. It can make for a vicious cycle.
Floss Like Crazy
Chronic bad breath can be overcome but it is actually a matter of destroying oral bacteria. Brushing is a great starting point.. But flossing is an even better idea. You should floss twice a day or more to drive bacteria out from the hard-to-get areas in-between your teeth.
Pay Attention To Your Tongue
If you are plagued by chronic bad breath, take some time to scrape and brush your tongue twice a day. Do it when you brush and floss! It will really make a difference.
Drink Water Often
Keeping yourself hydrated is perhaps the best thing you can do to ward off bad breath. This is because saliva naturally eliminates bacteria in your mouth that is causing the bad breath. But in order for saliva to be produced, you need to drink enough water. If you can find water with fluoride that is all to the good.
